Imagine
by Abdul Saboor
USA

Imagine a world engulfed in a loss of reason

Whose inhabitants follow their whims and passions

A trail of Satan's treason

Families torn over a greedy life of comfort

Parents working extra just to attain unneeded pleasures

Cars of luxury, homes of great vacancy

Leaving children emotionally and spiritually starved

Seemingly healthy on the outside

But dying within

Tears of pain falling quickly like drops of rain

Falling hard atop the rusted window pane leaving a noticeable stain

A stain on the heart...on the mind

Imagine this world...

A silent killer destroying all from within

Entrenching itself deep within the wombs of the society

Attaching to the ranks of our young spiritual soldiers

Every family giving birth to a contagious disease

Lust, greed, luxury, laziness, dishonesty

A cancerous disease spreading quickly like wild flame

Distinct, dangerous, deliberate, disgusting

Imagine this havoc...

A weak society dying slowly but quick

A people enticed by everything but the truth

Till death comes, only then will they realize

They will regret the Truth that they had once despised

Imagine the torment...

Screaming in anguish, they cannot take the pain

Cries, cringes, a crippling creed

The paralyzing constriction spreading quickly like acid rain

Atop dense forest trees, once bountiful and healthy

Now a drooping and dying dread

Do you not see them crying?

The young children barely speak

Yet already overwhelmed by the evil effects of the material

Tormented by the wicked army of Satan

MTV, Bratz, and internet galore

Imagine the hypocrisy...

Watching CNN on a wide screen with surround sound

Complaining about problems a world away

Yet completely oblivious to our own dire situation

Imagine?

Who said we need to imagine?

We only need to look at the local mosque to see this reality of implementation

Yes we must free Palestine, Iraq, and Arabia

But realize that we must free ourselves and our own

From the talons of the strong Satan

Understand this, do not imagine...

This is a demand, not a request nor a cry of spite

For it is a command from our Creator in the Quran, our Book of Light
