The Love of A Child
by William Lacewell
USA

Nothing can compare to the joy and beauty
of watching  a child at play
so full of energy and laughter
as they go on their merry way

The beauty of their smile
you'll remember your whole life through
each day as they seem to grow older
you compare their features to you

How precious are our children
and your love for them is so deep
and you tend to smile a lot at them
as you stand and watch them sleep

We watch them as they grow and mature
we pray for their safety day and night
we always want the best for them
and we'll fight for that with all our might

The love for your child is unconditional
because he or she is a part of you
and no matter what problem they may have
you'll share their problems too
