Angel
by Ranim Abukhadrah
USA

Last night I imagined an angel came
And took me by the hand,
we flew together far away
over sea and land.
We landed on a hilltop high
and looked down upon a town
and saw a group of people
with children that played around.

We landed on a hilltop high
and looked down upon a town
and saw a group of people
with children that played around.
Then came a man dressed in white
whose perfume filled the air
the children stopped their playing
and sat in silence there.
This noble man had a face that shone
talked with words so kind
that tears just rolled down their
cheeks, a dry eye I could not find.
He spoke of Allah, our Creator
and that he was sent to guide
not just to that group of people
but to the world so wide.
I asked the angel "Who is that man
where is this lovely place?"
He told me "Prophet Muhammad,

To be liberated means that we can clearly see,
That we should follow a leader for all of  humanity.

His name is Prophet Muhammad (Upon Him Be Peace):
ALLAH raised him with Truth, so falsehood must cease!

ALLAH sent to His Last Prophet, the Mightiest Message of  All...
His heart was Right, so he heard ALLAH's Call.

Some people said Prophet Muhammad was mad and possessed:
His wife Khadijah comforted him, for she knew he was blessed.

Prophet Muhammad delivered ALLAH's Message throughout the land;
It is the Light of  Truth that will always stand!

Prophet Muhammad taught humanity to constantly strive for Right;
ALLAH, The One and Only God has everyone in His Sight.

So always teach The Holy Qur'an from now to your death,
And live ALLAH's Universal Message with every breath!

"May the Peace and Blessings of  ALLAH be upon Prophet Muhammad."

If pearls are to be valued
then were does your value lie
ya Habibullah?

You were not sent
except as a mercy
to all the worlds…
a mercy to mine
as I try to grasp
the essence of your character…
your beauty, compassion,
and the mercy
bestowed upon you
by the most Merciful
of those who give mercy.

If pearls are to be beloved
then were does love for you lie
ya Khalilallah?

With love you brought to me
this message…
with your blood
and tears
and sweat (the sweetest scent of musk)
you left me with the Word of my Creator
and you left us to meet your Khalil
as the world bid farewell
to the mercy for all the worlds
sent by the most Merciful.

If pearls are to be dearest
then where does closeness for you lie
ya Khalilallah?

On Aisha's lap your head rested,
with al-Siddiq you shared a tiny cave,
the son of Khattab was your fiercest defendant,
the keeper of Noorayn to your daughters was wed,
and young Ali was but a part of your blessed household;
yet we
some 1400 years later
yearn for closeness
to you
Ya Rasoolallah…
through your Sunnah
we hope to achieve a morsel
of what the best of generations
the best of people got to taste:
the sweetness of your character
the beauty of your nature
the light of your Message and your ways.

If pearls are to be pearls
most beloved
most pure,
you, ya Rasoolallah
are my most beloved
among men;
the most Merciful sent you as a mercy
to all the worlds
and I will forever yearn to taste
a fragment of that mercy
and will forever struggle to attain
the honor of being a part of your Ummah
ya Khalilallah.

May the peace and blessings be upon you
o most beloved,
most pure,
and I pray to Him in whose Hands my soul is
to make me a part of your Ummah
to unite us on that fateful day
so that I can truly taste
the sweetness of your beauty,
and your character,
blessed be your name.

A Poem for Rasulullah (s.a.w)

Oh, how my heart yearns
To see the one
Called the Best of Creation!

To sit by his noble feet
And feel the tranquility
That radiates from
His blessed body

Oh, how my heart aches
To see the one who has saved
Mankind through his intercession
On Judgment Day

His blessed words
Were like rains from the heavens
His manners were
Absolute and complete perfection

Oh, how my heart bleeds
For I have this desperate need
To feel his presence and
His blessings, indeed!

Every action of his was filled with Barakah, blessings
Every inch of him shone with Noor, light
A sigh of longing escapes from my lips
How I would love to see this sight!

Oh, how my heart longs
To be near the one
Who brought hope to a place
Where hopelessness reigned

To his Creator he had
A flawless submission
His perfect existence
Transcends human definition

Though I, in vain, attempt
To praise him and his perfect behavior
Surely no one can praise him better
Than his own Maker:

Ya Habib Allah, the Beloved of Allah!
Ya Bab Allah, the Door to Allah!
Ya Rasulullah, Messenger of Allah!

My eyes cannot help but cry
Bitter tears as I realize
My pitiful state of love
For the Beloved of Allah!

What good is a poem without your name.  What good is a flower without your praise.

Allah Created you then us.  You are an example of Allahs beauty.

To see you would be a dream come come true.  To meet you would be heavenly.

All that I see was created for you.  The moon and stars for your pleasure.  The birds and bees for your praise.

You came to this world to wake the living dead.  And in that you succeeded.  You turned a cold heart into a heart of gold with your presence.

Never has a man like you ever affected so many lives. Before you and even after you.

To love you is to love Allah.  To love Allah is to love you.  There is no other way.

So I ask you Oh Beautiful Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam), Please take me by your blessed hand and eluminate my dead soul.

Only you can guide me to my Lord.

you truly are what the Qur'an says, A MERCY TO ALL MANKIND.
