My Chance is Gone
by Zaki Thompson
GBR

I've gone away
No one will ever see me again

I wished I prayed
But I forgot and never cared

But look at me now
I never been so afraid

Standing in front of my God
With tears running down my eyes

Two books opened out in front of me

I've gone away
No one will ever see me again

I wished I prayed
But I forgot and never cared

But look at me now
I never been so afraid

Standing in front of my God
With tears running down my eyes

Two books opened out in front of me
I've never seen so many pages

I always thought I was good
But it looked like I was so bad

I tired and I tired to tell Allah
That I'm sorry

If He would send me back
I'll change completely

But there is no more chances
I should have been a better Muslim

The Signs on Earth
Showed me that Allah was real

But me thinking stupid
I never thought it was real

That's why I'm here, where I stand
At the gates of Hell

I cried and I cried
But no one is going to help me now

I Rest My Fate On Your Mercy
by J. Malaika Freeland
MAR

We all want to be saved
from the demons of this world
We want to fly away
and rest in Your gardens

I've heard it said I only must believe
and I'll be saved.
I've heard it said Your gardens are free
and all are saved.

But belief starts with negation

We all want to be saved
from the demons of this world
We want to fly away
and rest in Your gardens

I've heard it said I only must believe
and I'll be saved.
I've heard it said Your gardens are free
and all are saved.

But belief starts with negation
"There is nothing"
negating all the lies, the false salvation
"There is nothing worthy"
Forbidding our idle striving for damnation
"There is nothing worthy of worship"
Enjoining on us truth of our creation:

"There is nothing worthy of worship but Allah."

Now I've said it, am I saved?
If I live it, am I saved?
No, now I am Your slave.

But a slave who is free
to rest my fate on Your mercy
If You will, I will be saved
and Your Mercy is unchained.

Jannah
by Ibn Al-Butaana
USA

Close your eyes and imagine this
Eternal bliss,
your every wish,
at your finger tips
and more...

Perched on a throne, near a stream
So serene, and exquisite a scene
You've never seen
Yet you still dream
of more...

Gone is grief, gone is fear
Gone is pain... Read More

Close your eyes and imagine this
Eternal bliss,
your every wish,
at your finger tips
and more...

Perched on a throne, near a stream
So serene, and exquisite a scene
You've never seen
Yet you still dream
of more...

Gone is grief, gone is fear
Gone is pain, gone are tears
Idle speech you shall never hear
And the Prophets make up your social sphere
and more...

The martyrs, righteous and truthful too
You are from them, and they from you
They held tightly to what they knew was true
To accompany them, similarly must you do
theres more...

Maidens, chaste, who restrain their gaze
Lost in a glance for days and days
Fun and frolic, as a child plays
Where the breath that leaves your lips is praise
of the One that gave you more

Imagine you and your father, with ages the same
Imagine showing off your book with no shame
Imagine nights with the Companions, with their stories to entertain
Imagine Muhammad (S) knowing your name
What could be there more..

Gardens underneath which rivers flow
A goal so far, and yet so close
A journey worth taking, for those who know
Do you not wish to go..
for more?

For all the bounties, all the grace
All the pleasures, sights, smells and tastes
Will be forgotten, without a trace
as if frozen in time and space
When you see His Face

What an excellent Master, of a miserable slave
You forgot and He forgave
He gave you guidance, you still strayed
You asked for mercy, that He gave
and more...

It's All For Me
by Nudrat Siddiqui
USA

At the end it's all for me
It all counts, crossing sirat ul Mustaqeem
Following the right deen
the right way
It's a short stay
I think about it as I stand and lay
I do it for me
for me, In the Name of my Lord whole heartedly
I just want to drop to my knees
Beat the kufr with the sunn... Read More

It's a short stay
I think about it as I stand and lay
I do it for me
for me, In the Name of my Lord whole heartedly
I just want to drop to my knees
Beat the kufr with the sunnah
fighting kufr with kufr, paying this dunya its greedy fees
you just can't win like this
if you aim, you'll miss
Don't you see
we're meant to be with our lord, let this dunya be
you gotta see
at the end it's all for me
each step of crossing siratul mustaqeem
step through the fog and steam

The Watering Place
by Sabera Salam

O fragrant expanse of white incandescence,
Filled with al-Kauthar's heavenly sweetness!

The Chosen One (s) your honoured owner,
