Nothing As but Much
by Maria Zain

A glare! A million hexagon reflections. A thumping -
within a yellow and black fury coat, frightfully
panicked wings. One heart with one name
calling. Praying... Deeply praying. Inward humming

A tremor. A battle against mocking flames,
Bloody orange and deathly red,
smoking high tides

A glare! A million hexagon reflections. A thumping -
within a yellow and black fury coat, frightfully
panicked wings. One heart with one name
calling. Praying... Deeply praying. Inward humming

A tremor. A battle against mocking flames,
Bloody orange and deathly red,
smoking high tides
into the unbelievers' destroyed skies,
a ballet of evil, misguidance for one too many failures,

At peak, measly whimpering. A million tears from
hexagons falling but a mist. Its mouth peeps
and a tiny droplet of water
falls upon the monstrous crimson
streaks, as the bee cries in anguish and Nimrod cackles freak glory

but a divine facade;
the flames divide,
revealing:

Thaumaturgy.
A glossy paradise garden of lush with a
Nightingale singing ninety nine
names of One, and the
one worth saving safe within arms.

The little helper into relief sails...
and happy weeping from one slight effort. But,
such small strife deeply replenished.

In return, one of mankind's tingling flavoring
to feasts and drink, a healing essence,
Sincerely yours,
from one sweet Honey Artisan

Reflections of My Beloved Prophet
by Sumaira Maghrabi

My role model, my revered prophet
The light of God's eye
It is by mimicking your actions that

I strive to live and die
If I can just be a mere fraction
Of the person that you were
My bounties, knowledge and goodness
Will indeed commence to incur

My role model, my revered prophet
The light of God's eye
It is by mimicking your actions that

I strive to live and die
If I can just be a mere fraction
Of the person that you were
My bounties, knowledge and goodness
Will indeed commence to incur

No single unbeliever (black nor white)
Can aid in your defamation
It is through God's eyes that you are
The key to human kind's salvation

O Prophet, my beloved prophet
The Seal of all who came before you
Your kindness, love and compassion
Cannot ever be surpassed nor eschewed

They have tried to denounce you
Yet your name is inscribed in the throne of God
Indeed they'll never know love will surpass hate
And their plan to vilify you is flawed

They can say whatever they want to say
They will unfortunately never know
The love and admiration for you that
Will ALWAYS and FOREVER continue to grow

Nothing But Love

Out of love for Muhammad (s) they say, "O Ahmad! You are the brightness of the moon and sun."
But verily i say, "O Beloved! Thy beauty is beyond the scope of tongue and pen to describe..Had thou been among the ladies instead of Yusouf (a.s), they would have slashed their hearts instead of fingers...this is why the greatest ... Read More

In The Face of Much Hardship

In the face of much hardship
Stood firm and patient in Allaah.
Bringer of good news and glad tidings,
You are a mercy unto all people

You fearlessly strived in the cause of Allaah
In the face, of much hardship.
With the best of manners and character,
You stood patient, forgiving others when provoked and abused

You placed the needs of others, before your own;
Took care of orphans and gave much to the poor.
In the face of much hardship,
You feared Allaah and taught us to as well

You will pray for mercy on this Muslim Ummah.
On that day, Long and Hot many will stand
Sweating, up to the eyelids for fear of Allaah
In the face of much hardship

Stood firm and patient in Allaah
When all the believers starved, for three long years.
I hope and pray to stand next to you on judgment day;
To be your neighbor in the highest Heaven.

Just actions and true words are all we have left of you.
Stood firm and patient in Allaah
Burying, your wife and children one by one.
Your death, is the biggest hardship to this Ummah!

We follow your guidance and praise Allaah.
You are a noble man of true integrity.
Stood firm and patient in Allaah
Belief in the One, always got you through

You used much wisdom and soft speech,
To correct the misguided;
And showed this Ummah how you,
Stood firm and patient in Allaah

I was looking for a Hero,
to admire and follow,
When I found myself in the Prophet's city,
And my journey toward Allah began.

The cool breeze of Medinah was like Da'wa
Calling me, inviting me
To visit the Best of Creation.
I am not worthy of this blessing,
I tell myself again and again.

His conduct was the Quran,
And I am merely a stumbling,
Human embodiment of broken efforts.

It was a long road to learn this simple lesson.
The path to Allah is through His Prophet.
My journey towards You Allah,
Begins with the Seerah of my Hero.

And since I love you Allah, I will follow Your Messenger.
I will love Your Messenger, when I study his Life.
When I love his Life, I will embody his Sunnah.

The Sunnah of the Chosen One.
The One who established the Din.
The Ambassador of Allah,
The Teacher, the Warner,
The Exemplar,
The Best of Creation, Muhammad.
(Sallullaho'Alayhi Wassallam)
