Had I Lived
by Anwar Abdelsalam
USA

Had I lived among An-Nabi's time

When people's hearts awoke

Beloved Madeenah

My bosom is blazing in the love of Madeenah
My heart is paining for the sight of Madeenah
Indeed the cure for my pain is to go Madeenah
Somebody please take me swiftly to Madeenah

Dear birds fly me on your wings to Madeenah
Oh camels ride me on your backs to Madeenah
Dear fishes sail me on your fins towards Madeenah
How can this useless walk on the streets of Madeenah?

I breathe the exquisitely scented air of blessed Madeenah
I listen to the appealing hymning birds of holy Madeenah
I can sense the divinely pure soil of sanctified Madeenah
I dream about the optimum of all cities, beloved Madeenah

I desire that I was an ordinary employee of Madeenah
My days would be spent in the concern of Madeenah
I would solute my beloved daily, the chief of Madeenah
How my nights would past under the stars of Madeenah!

I wish that I was an ordinary plant of Madeenah
Moreover, I wish I was a part of the soil of Madeenah
I wish that I was a trivial creature of Madeenah
How my whole life would past on the land of Madeenah!

Cats and bats die on the blessed land of Madeenah
Flora and flowers dry on the sanctified land of Madeenah
My tears terminate in the continues weeping for Madeenah
That Oh Allah, take my soul on the holy land of Madeenah!

The luminous shrine of my beloved lights Madeenah
The holy green dome above it beautifies Madeenah
The part of heaven besides it distinguishes Madeenah
Oh, how can I be of some advantage to Madeenah

Animals build their graves in the soil of Madeenah
Stones locate their position in the soil of Madeenah
Trees cultivate themselves in the soil of Madeenah
How I wish that my grave becomes the soil of Madeenah!

We wholly believe that paradise is greater than Madeenah
Remember, in paradise, there is everything but Madeenah
However, paradise is present in the land of Madeenah
What place is better than the holy land of Madeenah?

Oh Allah, I have some prayers in regards to Madeenah
Please grant me again and again the sight of Madeenah
Furthermore, award me residents on the land of Madeenah
Moreover, make my grave in the pure soil of Madeenah
Aameen

How Would I Talk to The Prophet
by Therlyn Bibi

How would I talk to the Prophet?
I would really like to know
The first thing I would tell Him
Is how I love Him so.
I'd talk to Him of  beauty
of Jannah and and all it's might
and the only thing I'm wishing
Is for Allah's grace to see that sight .

I'd talk to Him of  beauty
of Jannah and and all it's might
and the only thing I'm wishing
Is for Allah's grace to see that sight .
I'd tell them how I've searched for peace
my whole life through
That seeing is believing
I knew it would come true.
My life has been a movie
about a sad and broken heart
Your faith came inside of me
You took the leading part.
I'd tell them of the love inside
so beautiful, pure and true,
That I have been so blessed in my life
because I learned about You.
The broken roads I've traveled
and the times I felt so blue
They don't seem to matter now
for they led me straight to you.
How would I talk to the Prophet?

The Perfect Man

My Hero

My Hero
A Man whose flaws seem nonexistent
Whose intellect and smarts impress me every time I read about him
Whose character was so pure and good that even his enemies could never speak ill of him
Whose days were constantly spent in prayer, and fast and in sheer love and care for others
Who always made anyone feel as though they were the most important person in the world
Whose warm, gentle smile lit up not only the earth, but the heavens as well
Whose pious character no one could match
Whose sincerity, honesty, and love proved to others that the "Perfect Man" did exist
That man is my Hero.

The Mystical Droplet
by Khadeeja Zaman

Somewhere, beyond the hills
Somewhere, beyond the mountains
There lies a silent sea
So silent and salty it is that

Somewhere, beyond the hills
Somewhere, beyond the mountains
There lies a silent sea
So silent and salty it is that
Life is too impossible to prevail
Its deep, as it can be
Its dead as it can be
Dark grey clouds can be seen
Reflecting on its surface, so still
Heavy rain pours down, so rarely
And among the raindrops is a pearly droplet
And among the raindrops is a heavenly droplet
Just as it falls on the black surface
It emerges into a splendid glow
Shimmering in the moonlight
All so pearly and heavenly
All so wondrous and divine
That only droplet tastes so sweet
Much more than honey itself
The once dead dark sea
Comes to life again
Comes to bloom again
The eyes of the world stare in wonder
Who can believe, it's incredulous
Life returns to the once silent sea
It's overflowing with such vibrant colours
It's overwhelming with such glamorous beauty
Hundreds of fish species dwell in its depths
Thousands of ships sail gracefully along its waters
The magical droplet has done it all
The miracle of the centuries gone
The miracle of the universe beyond
