Deluded
by Khuram Shahzad

This was that body I fed
This was that body I gave sleep
Yet, this was that body
That drowned me deep
On that final day

This was that body I kept clean
This was that body I gave beauty
Yet, this was that body
That harmed me
On that final day

That drowned me deep
On that final day

This was that body I kept clean
This was that body I gave beauty
Yet, this was that body
That harmed me

This was that body I gave respect
This was that body I gave choice
Yet, this was that body
That left me without a voice
On that final day

This was that body I cared for
This was that body I gave liberty
And yet, this was that body
That turned against me
On the day that I needed it the most

In The Absence Of The Sun
by Nauman Abbasi
CAN

I love God for all that He's done
That I'll pray on my knees
In the absence of the sun
On little pebbles and rock
That deliver my legs sharp pains
While each drop hits down on me
Soaking me in the pouring rain
I'll humble myself in front of God

That I'll pray on my knees
In the absence of the sun
On little pebbles and rock
That deliver my legs sharp pains
While each drop hits down on me
Soaking me in the pouring rain
I'll humble myself in front of God
And enjoy every moment I partake
With my clothes drenched to never dry
Yet my faith won't waver or shake
With the elements against me
With desires to fulfill my obligation
In the rain with lightning pain
On my knees down in prostration
All for the sake
Of fulfilling my duty to my Lord
For the One that I love and worship
And for the One that I do adore
My inconvenience is insignificant
For the reward that I aspire for
I'll pray in the rain if I must
So let it pour, let it pour.

Do something.. Now
by Amanah Khalid

If I don't pray today no one will know,
Or if I dance around to music, or watch my favourite game show.
Nobody can see if I'm not reading Qu'ran,
And should somebody ask ill tell them that I am.

Should I stand in prayer I'm probably doing it wrong

If I don't pray today no one will know,
Or if I dance around to music, or watch my favourite game show.
Nobody can see if I'm not reading Qu'ran,
And should somebody ask ill tell them that I am.

Should I stand in prayer I'm probably doing it wrong
Not really concentrating, and thinking this is taking too long.
I'm such a busy person my mind is so preoccupied,
Ill tell people I've read Salat, no one will know that I have lied.

And when I go to work im the only Muslim there,
So if I miss a prayer or two, who's there to know or care.
Besides my job is important, and helps provide for my family,
As long as im earning money we can live content and happily.

Then suddenly before me beholds a sight im afraid to see
Surely this cant be happening, not yet, and not to me.
I stand before my Creator, my head hanging low with shame,
With Hell as my destination, my excuses are poor and lame.

Keeping up appearances so everyone thought I was the best,
Used up all my time and made me fail the hardest test,
I thought I had a life time to change and mend my ways,
Naive was I to think I had plenty remaining days.

Looking back over my shoulder I see my family in despair.
No true faith to pull them through, no money now im not there.
All the material joys are meaningless, only I was too blind to see,
When I thought no one was watching, Allah was always watching me.

It's not too late for you to learn from the mistakes of others
Embrace Islam with your heart not tomorrow but now, my dear sisters and brothers
Life is so so short, so love Allah thoroughly and true,
And perform all your prayers before your prayers are read for you.

My rhyme begins to climb on the paradigm of time as my slang harangue
makes you hang on the rope of inner contemplation.
This isn't intimidation.
Truth randomly decided to abscond into the forest of ideas,
so why accede to a deed of greed as you bleed rivers of destitution.
There is no solution because your love of praise is a craze in your mind's maze,
abused and confused as you drown in your own narcissism, and you don't dare or even care about it any more and what for.
Don't reminisce on the days of yore,
enter into the center of your soul and annihilate yourself on the shore of certitude.
The apparition of truthful submission can not be seen by the naked eye,
as your heinous heart asks why. You than have a false impression and misconception of your inward manifestation and it's too late!
Just contemplate and amalgamate your fate,
letting the light of veracity rejuvenate your inward state.

Don't cling to the infantile illusion and dying delusion of the radiance of your inner self.
Take that superfluous arrogance and lock it away forever in humility's shelf.
It whispers to you and says lure me, cure me I am shackled viscously in debonair desire,
oppose me,
expose me and extinguish this festive fire.
Do you really believe that you can sleep high in the sky of love above and still wake up to the dream of reality despite the fact that you are an insomniac of passion and zeal,
and it feels really real. Is it within the realm of possibility to conquer the kingdom of moments and grasp time in your fist? It's a huge risk!

Actually, it's not that complicated, soon like the bright moon of fortitude it will become faded.
Past has passed, present is our present and future is never ending non existence.
However, if you plea a puerile penance and enter into the essence of true transcendence, y
ou too will witness the horizon of never ending non existence.

Neverending Destination
by Usman Khan

The keys of confusion are locked in my mind
As I drown deeper into an ocean of time
The branches of disunity grow in my soul
The anchor of certainty is my ultimate goal
In an instant of annhilation all time becomes still
My heart, mind, and soul agree with my will
Cries to the Divine are worth more than ... Read More

The keys of confusion are locked in my mind
As I drown deeper into an ocean of time
The branches of disunity grow in my soul
The anchor of certainty is my ultimate goal
In an instant of annhilation all time becomes still
My heart, mind, and soul agree with my will
Cries to the Divine are worth more than eternity
Through simple words blind hearts begin to see
In the long river of life we pass through every station
Yet love is the only boat of our neverending destination
