I begin in the name of the one who created the trees. He created the breeze,
he created the bones in my knees.
So I send prayers to him and he sends blessings to me...and I pray my words leave a mark on your heart.
ALLAH gives us light but it seems we choose to stay in the dark.
He gave us light by giving us Islam.
And a Prophet who was the walking, talking Quran.
Muhammad on him we send blessings and salaam.
He is the example, nothing to do with bombs.
While this beautiful man was praying animal entrails were thrown on him but still he was calm.
He didn't bring anything new he was just the seal.
"ALLAh Is one" but still they wanted him killed.
He came to a people who before buried their daughters alive. and changed their frame of mind by saying, "for the next life you should strive." He was the greatest Psychologist that ever lived.
He didn't like to recieve, but he loved to give.
He showed tolerance to those who hated him most.
In a group you wouldn't notice him because he didn't like to boast. He was far from what they say.
The Prophet is physically gone but spiritually his message never stopped. And we ask ALLAH to bless him and his family every time we make salaht.
So let them say what they want because he let his actions speak. And if they really want the truth all they have to do is seek.
The greatest man to ever live because of his dedication and passion. Not just because we say so but because of his actions.
He is far from what they say!!!

In the third month of the year
Of the Islamic calendar
On the 12th a blessed day
A blessing came forth to us
A blessing that lit the world
A happiness never known before
He was sent to save the world
We were in darkness then came forth light
There's a need to celebrate
So we say thanks to Allah
For the light He sent to us
O Muhammad is the light
The light that never fades
The light the helped to change the world
The light that never fades

Praises of the Holy One

To write this poetic verse, is only possible because Allah designed The Holy Prophet in the blueprint of the entire Universe.
Allah knows what we know not, He knew a perfect man was needed to carry out the perfect plot.
A perfect man who never lied, stole, or cheated, this was a man chosen by Allah, that was never to be defeated.
It was because of this man that we can have hope to achieve the real purpose in this life,
To worship Allah, him alone, for His sake make the greatest sacrifice.
To be Muslim means to completely surrender our will to Him;
This can only be achieved by following "The immaculate one" there is no other formula by which to win!
What is it to win? That is to completely give your life to Allah for complete removal of sin!
How can we remove this sin? To follow the Living example of the Koran, this is where to begin.
Hadhrat Muhammad Mustapha, peace and blessings be upon him, was the best friend of Allah.
Because of this friendship "That Prophet" was able to be the greatest spiritual heavenly Star!
The Prophet is a star like the sun that shines and illuminating spiritual life-giving light!
So, follow the only one who can help you perfect your physical, mental, and spiritual life.
The radiance of the flames of this star, burn away the sin in the hearts of men,
To feel the warmth of the love of Allah you must be completely obedient to him!
Who but the arrogant or ignorant, can ignore the attraction of the one, voted the most influential in the entire history of man.
The likes of which will never walk upon the face of this earth again!
Come one come all, hear this wonderful message of Islam that brings eternal internal spiriutal wealth.
A message brought by a humble servant and slave of God, that you may be saved from the evil that dwells from within yourself.

God sent to mankind a guide spanning all time and space
A mercy that was for every age, for every race.

As time on earth began, Adam fell from grace
Three hundred years of prostration failed to restore his place.
Seeking intercession, he invoked the noble messenger's name.
Erased from our father Adam, were all traces of shame.

Leader of the Anbiya, never on earth did a shadow cast.
Preceding messengers and prophets, his reign surpassed.
Blessed was Aqsa, where he led in prayer before his ascent
To the highest station, that rightfully for him was meant.

Rising high, at two bow-lengths from the Divine Presence,
The messenger faced his Maker, Lord of Omnipotence.
Who welcomed: O My Prophet: May Peace be with you.
The Prophet's response: And with the righteous, too!

Such consideration for a sinful nation in a moment sublime
Naturally his, the messenger for all time!
Hearing of Mi'raj, the father of ignorance appeared with closed fist, peeved.
Quoth he: "Say what's hidden in my palm, and I will have believed!"

Smiling, said the messenger: What if the objects in your hand
Spoke? The stones in Abu Jahl's palm took the stand
And by Divine command, praised the messenger's name.
"Sorcery!" cried the ignorant one, his wretched soul aflame.

Resting on Ali's lap, the noble soul slept,
Asr went as the sun set, and God's lion wept.
The Prophet's dua restored the sun to the sky,
Ali prayed his Asr, with unending joy!

Noble hands for which the sun returned and the moon split,
For us these miracles, the companions did transmit!
For God's beloved, stones spoke and trees cried!
A man baser than stone, if the messenger's mercy, he denied.

I write in love: the Lord mentions Muzzammil by his cloak -
On the day of unrelenting heat, may its shade free my yoke!

You are the bloom of an awakened desert
Through the multi-winged Gabriel
You recieved the word of an oasis
Which is the golden imbued light of truth
That sustains life throughout the universe
Dances within these fluttering green leaves
Outside my modest window
Laughing within the glittering Paradise

Enclosed within this encompassing Light
Many souls fall
LIke specks of dust
To their destination
Some sparkle more...some less
But through your humble example
They will be resurrected again

You rode on the baraq of your compassion
And your followers
In submission to Allah (swt)
Fed you by hand
With the food of their devotion

They follow you upon your path
A cirular path
Even struggling up hills with difficulty
Your example carries them

Even beneath a brilliant, desert sun
The center is Allah (swt)
The sight of you
Quenches their thirst

When you say the name of my beloved
please say it with hapiness and muhabat

If i was to see his face shining fourth
In fear i would cover my eyes with my palms

Afraid for my sight beacause his face was full of light
he was always in prayer and meditation at night

Allah has bestowed me with many great blessings
but one of the greatest is being apart of his ummah

he is our teacher and final messenger

Ya rasoolulah thier is no man in history as great as you
look at his respect, he stood up at funeral procession of a jew

on that hard day, ya rasoolulah please intercede for me
as i will be walking around in a state of anxiety

muhammed is a human being but not like any other human being
rather he was a unique diamond and the rest of mankind are just stones

your face was more beautiful and vibrant then the new moon
Inshallah, we will meet one day soon

none of you would ever regret showing love for the prophet
the greatest gift we could ever get was the prophet

His character was the quran, what can i say all of characteristics were beautiful
it would be impossible for me to describe the prophet with one characteristic

the prophet would treat well even his enimies
so we should show compasion to all, from here to the lebanese

no man is dearer in history than him
the sahaba would protect him with every limb

through the cartoons they tried to make a mokery
but the again why was he voted the most influential man in history.

Refrain:
Peace and Blessings Lord upon
Our prophet Muhammad,
And upon his family
And on his companions
-----------------------------------
O the one He named Ahmad
How could they revile you?
You always honored everyone
Even those who mistreated you.

O the one they called al-Amin
How could they not trust you?
You always spoke the truth, never lied
Never even once wanted to.

O the one we call Mustafa
Who else could we have chosen?
You are the best example
For all of mankind to come.

Muzzammil, TaHa, YaSeen
How could we know, through what you've been?
From your first embrace of Iqra
To your last breaths: Salah, Salah.

You experienced realities
That could even crush mountains to dust.
All so that we could receive
Revelation from God on high.

Your speech was always brief, and deep
You didn't want to waste one single breath.
You spoke when you saw benefit
Every word said was contemplated.

Your face was like the moon, so bright
You helped fill our darkness with light.
Those who came to you were im-pressed
And you changed them all for the best.

You devoted all of your life
Solely to the worship of God.
Heaven was guaranteed to you
And you chose to be grateful to God.

You're a mercy to all the worlds
All the past, present, and future.
Your message was for all humankind
And will guide till the end of time.

O the Beloved of God
Those who knew you were left in awe.
To have met you once or twice
Would've been worth my entire life!

O God shower Your blessings
Upon our Prophet Muhammad.
Please include us in his space
On the Day when we'll all seek Your Grace!

Mushir Khwaja
January 2005
Dhul Hijja 1425
(Although this poem does not maintain a constant meter, it was written with aparticular melody in mind. It can be sung to most Andalusian and African melodies that the Burda of Imam Busiri, or the Diwan of Shaykh Muhammad ibn al-Habib are sung to, provided you make the necessary adjustments to combine or prolong certain syllables while singing.)

Oh Crescent of My Eyes

Ya Rasululah, oh humble Ambassador for the human beings and for all creation.
Oh Prophet for the fish and the great whales of the oceans, please ask Allah
To grant me seven sons to whom I may give your name. Oh crescent of my eyes,
Oh Prophet of Allah, oh thou who never leaves me.

Oh, my beloved friend, with whose name Allah has anointed the tongues of Ibn Khaldoun, Muhammad Al-Ghazzali and the mountains. Oh Prophet of the tigers And the lions, of the cheetahs and the elephants, we know that from your light,
Allah has brought us forth and we vouchsafe to you our loyalty. Oh Prophet of Allah without any shadow, yet your light eclipses the universe and its galaxies.
Your nobility inspires women to secure their hijab when they realize that
Al Genna is theirs for covering with their accoutrements.

Oh beloved brother of humanity, oh secret of one step, oh warmth of my
Hands in the frost of winter by the roaring sea. Oh blessed commander of
Allah's faithful followers, oh deliverer of your people to the Mercy of Allah.
Ya Rasululah, the stringed instruments of musicians from Istanbul
To Aleppo, are vibrating with your name. From Kwelin to Kumasi and
From Doha to Tunis, Allah has blessed us with your rapture.

Ya Rasululah, without you there is no Burda, and there is no creation.
Oh light of creation, oh light of Allah, oh light of lights, because of you Allah Permits the winged creatures to fly and embellishes them with his beauty. He Permits the butterflies to show their stunning colors and the spider to shield
You with her web. Oh Prophet of Allah, we call your name because we
Know that Allah will reward us as we salute you with a worthy respect.

Oh beloved Prophet, please keep us in your Jamaat. Please hold my place
Among the Sahaba, the Tabi'un and the Tabi Tabi'un. Among the ranks of
Sheikh Ahmad Al Tidiane and Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse and the Awliya.

Ya Rasululah, I imagined the sandals of Um Har'am of Cyprus praising you
And the lutes of Rabi'a in Suriyah and Sha'wana in Persia proclaiming you;

I imagined Rabi'a Al-Adawiyya in Basra and Nafisa in Mecca sending you
Their respects. Oh Khatm Nabiyeen, see my shoulder next to yours,
As Salaamu Alaika ya Rasululah, ya Habibullah, oh commander of the Awliya.

A Composite Sketch Of Greatness

Bismillah arRahman arRahim

In gentleness like the flowing breeze and in steadfastness of duty like The Angels, he taught us how to live and die. Naked ye came into the world and naked shall ye leave. Follow Allah and His Messenger and no fear shall come upon you, nor shall ye grieve. Abraham was his patriarch, may Allah be pleased with him, the original iconoclast.
Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him is, of the prophets, the best and last. So vast was his love for us, that his dying command was, "Guard your prayers. Guard your prayers." He taught us, by Allah's grace, to avoid lustful stares and walk the straight path. That Insha-Allah, we may meet Death with a sigh of relief and avoid Allah's wrath. His way of life is n example to the world of mankind's true nature, yet few take heed. That he lived Al-Qur'an and in turn, Al-Sunnah, we know the consequences of every thought, action, intention and deed. He was our teacher, guide and faher-figure, thus we love, honor, and respect him. You cannot understand this if you're a slave to animal desires and foolish whims. In the face of the enemy, no one stood with greater courage and spirit.
As The Holy Cavalry descended, Shaitan the accursed himself couldn't deal with it.
The Holy City was taken by the Muslims, under his command. Bloodess was the entry, for our Messenger loved patience rather than a sword clenched in hand.
How truly blessed he must be for Allah to order us to send peace and blessings after the mention of his name! How Allah must truly love mankind for Him to send us one final message this late in the game!
I often wish I could have met him and fought, eaten and prayed by his side. The man who went from Mecca to Jerusalem and thence to The Seven Heavens! Amin! What a ride! Spreak the truth, he taught us. Even if it be against yourself, never tell a lie. Now, which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? I thank Allah, The Most High, for our beloved Messenger. May he and his companions shine like the full moon. Assallm Walaikum wa rahmatuAllah hiwa barakhatu my brothers and sisters. Insha-Allah, we'll see you soon.
