Our Prophet never gave up
He kept preaching Islam for 23 years
He absolutely had no fears
13 years in Makkah and 10 in Madinah

He got bothered
He got tortured
But he was brave
He didn't give up

He struggled here and there
Until people started to care
Some people converted
And some didn't

His wife Khadijah was the first to listen
Others chose the way of sin
She was very nice and kind
She listened to him all the time

Abu baker, the Prophet's best friend was second
One of the few to accept from many a Meccan
The Prophet called him the true believer
For his absolute belief to the Prophet

The Prophet worked hard until he died
And now Muslims have multiplied
Still more people convert today
And all follow the Prophet and admire him.

You illuminate my day,
When I think of the uplifting words you say.
I see your smile in the shimmering mist,
I wish it were your hand that I could have kissed.
A man of truth, happiness, and peace.
To the door of Islam, you gave us the keys.
You got the Qur'an, which from Allah was sent,
For all of humanity this book was meant.
The gentle caress, the loving eyes,
When I think of you, a spark in me does arise.
A warrior fighting for peace and love,
A place has been saved for you up above.
I cherish your memory - oh, so great!
I wish to be with you in the garden, I hope it's not too late.

He was a mercy for mankind
The leader of all armies,
With such wisdom and light,
That it would have blown your mind.

Treasures for personality,
Mountains of generosity,
We race to capture just your smile and words
Oh Prophet of God

A ray of light blinded by your enlightened face,
Filled with Taqwah and prayer and love and care,
For us a thrilling race,
To catch the gleaming jewels

I'm holding a hot coal,
But your coolness cools me down
It takes away my temptations
To be white when I'm brown

You taught not strife,
But the meaning of life,
And I cannot say to you,
Express myself to you,
As need be done.

Thank you for letting me free from this cage,
Frequent horror and rage
And opening a door of wonder and awe.

I want my love to strengthen,
As infant to youth.
I want to steady myself,
As a lamb learns to walk.
And I need my love to grow,
As a flower blooms.

Because the sun gasps at your light,
And turns away from the glow
The moon shies away from your face,
Unable further to go

But most of all,
I want you here next to me
Helping me along the way,
In this Dunya.

I'll hold you in my heart,
And feed the love,
Which determinedly grows.

And though kindled in my heart,
I seek to feed with so much more,
With more than just prayer,
But with true love.

And I cannot explain to you,
What remains to be explained.
I cannot explain how I have a desire,
To change the world,
With you next to me,
Gently brushing the lines,
That I follow.

How I want to let your love strive,
To leave the world and spread further,
How I want it to shine more than the most beautiful sunset,
And the most breathtaking sunrise.
My pain is mixed within my love,
Because no true love comes without troubles and hardships,
But my desire is
To rebel against it all

To dream a dream about you as I sleep,
To walk in your footsteps,
To walk the path you walked upon,
To leave the horror,
To begin a new flower,
Plant new seeds,
Is a gift of unbearable burdens of love.

Because I say,
If I have been born with wings,
Why should I prefer to crawl?

Oh True Light
by Shaakirah Khan, Age 12

Oh Prophet of God,
Oh True Light,
You're the perfect example,
And for you do we fight.

By the darkness of the night,
By the sunlight of the day,
The path we follow
Is that of your own way.

Shining brightly are the cobblestones,
Upon your illuminating path,
That I wish to walk on
And feel your cool draught.

In my hand I'm holding
The Truth,
Written by you,
As dictated by The One.

The gentle light washing over me,
Bringing me in neck-deep,
For I have,
Taken a great leap.

I cannot say,
How I wish the same for others,
For all of your Ummah,
For my sisters and brothers.

Please help me gain,
The accomplishment of my goal,
And pouring over the rain,
Of Love on the people of this world.

Prophet Muhammad had might.
The might of light.
Light that he would spread to every heart and soul.
And every heart and soul would want to be part of the fight.
Fight by day and worship by night.
"We hear and we obey"
This is what they used to say.
So hey, say nay to those who say that Al Bashir was merely a prophet,
He was a Prophet and a Prophet is a big thing,
and he was a Teacher, the Teacher of all teachers.

Who would you love follow?
The Prophet or Hilary Duff?
I'd love the perfect being
which is gladly more than enough.
Who would you love more?
The Prophet or your mother when the bell for her will toll?
I’d love the one with the perfect and wonderful soul.
Who would you think of in the day?
The perfect being or 50 Cent?
I’d love the perfect being
which is more than enough.
Who would you think of in the night?
The perfect being or someone with a really good name?
I would love the perfect being
which is worth more than fame.
So look around
You'll hear a sound
Through that sound he will teach
So that we may reach
True passion, true knowledge, and true love.

Peace and Unity

We need to be united, not disunited,
T his dream calls for Unity, because it is our duty,
To find a path to Unity, for our Muslim Ummah,
W e need to be calm, need to be peaceful,
T his path leads to our past, it is so easy to find,
But we have a veil, that covers our eyes, from the truth.
T his path, is the path which takes you through a state of
Tranquility. But don't forget, that we need peace.
T he secret to finding this path is to follow the path of our
Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which is Islam.
W e are like clouds, floating through the sky,
With nowhere to go, nowhere to hide, we need to find
T his straight path, which is Islam; the veils are like weeds,
Blocking us from this straight path, which is
Islam, Unity, & Peace.

So taught us, the Prophet Muhammad,
SalAllahu alaihi wasalam.
