The Jihad of the Pen (for the Beloved)

We lift the pen to defend his honour
We lift the pen to proclaim his banner
We lift the pen to fight his opponent
We lift the pen to delight his proponent
We lift the pen to glorify his message
We lift the pen to dignify his dressage
We lift the pen to ridicule our greed
We lift the pen to purify our need
We lift the pen to absorb his pure light
We lift the pen to confirm him his right
We lift the pen to demonstrate his station
We lift the pen to acknowledge the best creation
We lift the pen to shower him with mercy
We lift the pen because he is worthy
We lift the pen to hope for his intercession
to hope for his company
to hope for his blessings
to hope
to hope
We lift the pen to hope for Paradise
We lift the pen because every soul dies
We lift the pen because to Allah we return
We lift the pen and hope we do not burn
We lift the pen to reflect on his life
We lift the pen to be by his side
We lift the pen to help us understand
We lift the pen because he was not merely a man
We lift the pen as we await our death
We lift the pen as we owe him a debt
We lift the pen to write these humble words
We lift the pen to pass on what is preserved
I lift the pen because now I know I must die
I lift the pen because I love him that's why
AlayhiSalaatuAsalaam

Mercifully granted ease
from hardships and pain
never thinking worthed enough
to be granted such a thing
by the king of all kings

how greatful not able
to be spoken in words
not a picture not a painting
could describe this feeling

eternally cleansed
is our beloved prophet
from sin and evil
trouble and corruption

a new meaning to life is born
a way to renew what he commenced
a way to live and not be marked
his heart still pure the spot removed
in this journey called life.

Allah is the Cure

Before I was a Muslim
I had a relationship with Allah
I would turn to Him when in need
Hoping for a cure

Allah would always help me
And again I would smile
Allah was like my doctor
I’d only speak to Him when down

Then one day I met a Muslim family
Who remembered Allah each day
Praying together and mentioning His Names,
I watched in dismay

Allah had always given me so much
And as soon as I took, I would forget
The One who fed me, clothed me
The One who allowed me to smile again.

I asked my Creator to guide me
To the path that He was most pleased
So that I may worship Him how He likes
And never to dismiss Him again

And now as I hold His Book in my hand
And stand before Him to pray
I will never treat Allah like my doctor
He is the cure that gives life to my heart.

I once walked blindly on a lonely path
It led me deeper into darkness
The mirrors all around showed smiling faces
Even mine smiled back hiding the traces
Of discomfort and discontent

Sometimes the path would seem to tilt
Scared I would fall I would grab
Onto anything that glittered and promised
To help me forget that I didn't even know
Where this path lead.

Then one day a new face appeared shining
Out from under a black piece of cloth
In her hand was a Book of Light
I took it with a welcoming hand
In awe of what was within

“This is the book wherein there is no doubt
What is this? Certainty, I had never known
Yet as I read on it became clear that I had found
Something in which to place all trust
This book showed me a new path to tread.

Now I walk straight I see so clear
I know where my actions will lead me
Yet above all on this path I have been shown
The reason for walking upon it
To please Allah all the way, may Allah continue to Guide

Oh Allah you are testing me
You've been testing me for years
For most of this I was brave and strong
My eeman kept me from wrong

I loved that You were testing me
I felt Your Love in my soul
But somehow I slipped and now I am weak
How I fell I don't know

I felt close to the Prophets who were tested the Most
Felt like Sumayyah who was promised the garden
Like the Prophet Ayub who never complained
Except of his own lack of sabr

Oh Allah I have lost my sabr
I am failing your test, please Help!
How easy it is to lose eeman
Only myself I have harmed

The Day I will stand before you
And no excuse will prevail
I can point a finger at all else
But four will be pointing at me

Even Shaitan will run away
Saying he only whispered to me
Yet I followed him instead of praying to You
Asking you for the Help that would have kept me strong

But its not too late yet, Please help me return
Give me the strength to bear this test
For Hardship is upon those you love
Help me to deserve your Love

I feel like no one could love me
But Your Forgiveness exceeds your wrath
So shower upon me Your Mercy
And turn all my sins to dust

The alluring flower-scented AROMA fills my enlightened mind
Pleasures like this beyond the physical realm are rare to find

Yet his presence spiritually and physically render such pleasure
And to all of his extraordinary traits I indeed dearly treasure

The blossoms fall with such graceful movements
As his perfect characteristics accelerate my much needed improvements

No physical being present today can match his tenderness
Dive into his seerah and you will encounter his indescribable soft-heartedness

For his traits are rarely found in today's time
These traits are only found in those who counter the effect of perpetual crime

Spreading love, warmth to all who clamor for it
Never did he rest, Never did he sit

Just try to engross oneself in one of his innumerable rays
And indeed one will witness the miraculous blossoming of one's days

For one who truly embodies such traits can only possess the finest of qualities
Never in this transient life did he experience self-inflicted calamities

It is no fallacy to claim he overwhelms my limited imagination
For his unrivaled character happily places me in a state of continual inclination

Is it too much to claim he is my most influential human friend?
Never! His delicate and beauty-filled nature I just can never fully comprehend...

Do you sense the revival?
Do you smell the aroma of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon him)?
The true after effects of the AROMA has yet to come!

Muhammad Receives the Revelation
by Tauliah Ameen

The truth sat on the tip of his tongue but he couldn't grasp the meaning,
And practically everyday he sat in the cave, aware, or was he dreaming?
He began to see in his dreams, visions of truth that would some day bring to his heart, the light.
And the truth of Islam would soon prevail,
As the way of life for those who want to do right.

The angel Jibril appeared to him one day with a sheet in his hand,
And Muhammad with fear in his eyes, wondered if this was the devil in the form of a man.
But it wasn't; he was an angel sent down to reveal,
The truth that the unbelievers had previously concealed.

"Read" Jibril commanded, as Muhammad lay asleep in the cave.
"What shall I read"? Muhammad asked, as he began to raise.
"Read", the voice repeated, as Muhammad felt a squeeze on his neck.
"What shall I read"? asked Muhammad, who by the third request was almost a wreck.

"Read in the name of thy Lord, the Creator, who created man out of a clot of blood."
The one who saved Noah and the believers from the wrath of the flood.
Read in the name of thy Lord, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
He is the Sustainer of all the worlds, most Kind, most Bountiful.
It is HE who taught man by the pen, that which he does not know; seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave,
And always be open to grow.
And it is no other than HE, that granted you the gift to learn.
So read and believe in HIM, for HIS peace and blessings, we all yearn.
So follow this deen, Muhammad and believe in HIM,
Do good in this life and stay clear of sin.

When Muhammad left the cave, he heavily sighed,
Then gasped at the sight of the angel across the sky.
And every where he turned, he saw no other,
It surprised him to see Jibril, in the form of a brother.

And once at home, he told his wife what happened in tears.
And she being strong in faith, made effort to remove his fears.
ALLAH has come to you today Muhammad, so do not run away.
HE has chosen you to convey HIS message and to show HIS people the way.

So recite the Qur'an so that they will understand.
Be reassured Muhammad, ALLAH does have a plan.
Your Lord is Most Gracious, Most Merciful, the believers will soon shout.
So pick up the banner of truth Muhammad, and move forward without any doubt.

His life dedicated purely to ALLAH, to truth and to humanity,
Muhammad carried out his charge, not by force, but with humility.
Muhammad overcame his fears and his doubts, and Islam was taught around the world through many routes.
So read in the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful,
ALLAH is the only one, Ahad, for the faithful.

What should i say in honour of our Nabi(Pbuh)
Words fall short when i praise his majesty

Lived so simple yet so great
An ideal personality to portrait

With no kingdom and no throne
He was determined to arise and warn alone

To save us from the ferocious fire
And to preach Allah's words was his kind hearts desire

For us the prince at night cried
Being "The Slave of Allah" was his pride

Truthful, beloved and worthy of trust
Never bore grudge for anyone even as little as dust

Blessed he is, Allah calls him "Just"
And obeying him is truely a must

In the time of inequality and nothing good
A woman's pain he understood

Our Rasool (Pbuh), a generous, pious man
Find some one like him, no one can

He made men love faith and honesty
Indeed, the eraser of infidelity

He made the most ignorant seek knowledge
Such was our prophets inspiring pledge

He did what till now no one could
Made common law of universal human brotherhood

Read his guide, the Quran, read every page
Follow the prophets deed and "Convey The Message"

I dreamed I was walking in the desert
there were footprints in the dust of the trail.
I stepped in them and found myself dancing.

One gate stood open in an iron fence
on it, the mark of a hand.
When I touched it sparks flew.

In the noise and confusion of the crowd
I heard a voice whisper:
"La illaha il Allah."
I turned and saw no-one, only footprints
and the city shone with brilliant light.

The world bears witness to the presence of a few--
walk in their traces.
